My goal was to build a relatively light weight XC bike on a budget. Took me almost three months to put this baby together, including doing some research and sourcing out second hand parts. Have to admit some parts were chosen for their aesthetic value rather than weight and others, were chosen for their price.I wish to thank the friendly members of togoparts whom I sourced parts from, and Francis and his staff at L&T Cycle in Tampines for their advice and helping me put my bike together. And the list goes like this:-1. Frame: ’08 Commenςal VIP Flame Nuts5 (courtesy of Neworder)2. Fork: ’07 Fox Float ‘SPY’ 32 RLC (courtesy of madtunas) Have since reduced travel to 100mm. Me being the total noob that I am, tot more travel=better!! Hahaha. Thanx to santababy for the tip.3. Stem: Sunline V-One AM Stem (50mm x 31.8mm)4. Headset: Ritchey WCS Carbon Drop In5. Handlebar: Easton Monkeylite XC OS (31.8mm), High rise6. Grips: FUNN Lock-ons (white)7. Saddle: Fizik Nisene HP Wing Flex (courtesy of siaochichi)8. Seatpost: Easton EC70 Carbon (courtesy of ADDi)9. Seat Clamp: OTA (pewter)10. Groupset: ’08 Shimano XT (minus brakeset, shifters, wheelset & pedals)11. Brakeset: Formula ORO K24 (white edition) Thanx to Ah Chai from Bikelabz for helping me install it.12. Shifters: ’08 Shimano XTR13. Wheelset: Mavic Crossride + Maxxis Crossmark Tyres + Tubes14. Skewers: KCNC (green)15. Pedals: Wellgo MG-52 Have since brought her to Tampines Trail (I know, I know, beginner trail only mah. I'm not very hardcore lah. Need to take care of my OLD bones!). No complaints as yet. She has been very responsive and relatively easy to control. Whoooaaah!!
